Cancellation

What is your policy regarding cancellations?


You may cancel until 7 days before arrival, less any card processing/money transfer fees. You will be charged the total price if you cancel in the 7 days before arrival. Group bookings: 21 days’ notice of cancellation is required for group bookings, less any card processing/money transfer fees. You will be charged the total price if you cancel within the 21 days before arrival.




How do I cancel or make changes to my booking?


Bookings made via partner websites (i.e. Booking.com or Expedia) must be cancelled or ammended with them. For all bookings made directly with the hotel, please contact us on telephone number +44 (0) 7592 993 197.





General Stay

Will I be charged for extra guests occupying my room?


Where rooms are booked for single occupancy, dual occupancy is not permitted unless the appropriate upgrade is registered and paid for in advance.




Does the hotel provide a crib or cot when I travel with children?


No.




What should I do with my room keys at Check-out?


You can leave your room key at reception or put it straight into the designated key box next to reception.




Are pets permitted?


Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in the premises.




Upto what age do children stay free of charge?


Chldren under 2 years of age may stay with their parents, in their room, free of charge.




Where may I smoke?


Only in the garden please, where there is a table and chairs. We are happy to provide an ashtray. Please ask at Reception. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the premises.




Do you have storage for my bicycle?


Yes. You must request this servce in advance of your arrival.




Do you have connecting rooms?

What facilities do you have in the rooms?


All rooms have TV with all Freeview channels, tea and coffee making facilities, welcome tray with luxury biscuits and bottled water, desk. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available on request.

Reservation

How do I request an early check-in or late check-out?


Please contact us on +44 (0) 7592 993 197 or email info@chimneys-guesthouse.com Earlier check-in (12.00-14.00hrs) is available for an additional fee of £10. Late check-out is available till 11.00 AM for an additional fee of £10




Why does Chimneys Guest House pre-authorise my credit/debit card?


A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds will be debited from your account. The pre-authorisation process protects Chimneys Guest House against the possibility of guests either refusing to pay, or being unable to pay, or a no-show - resulting in a loss of business.




What is the age requirement to make a reservation?


You must be 18 years old or over to make a reservation.

Am I required to enter my credit/debit card details online to book a reservation?

Is your reservation process secure?


Yes. Our Card processing provider uses the latest secure payment processing system.

I am under 18 years of age, can I book and stay with you without a guardian/parent?


No. All bookings must be made by those who are 18 years of age or older.




What are your check-in and check-out times?


Check-in is 2.00 - 9.00 PM. Check-out is 10.00 AM - Departing after this time will incur a charge for an extra day. We close for the night at 9pm. Once you are checked-in, you get a room key and front door key, so you can come and go as you please. We understand some circumstances are unavoidable (e.g. travel delays on the day) and try to accommodate these where we can, which MUST be agreed in advance.




Why do you require confirmation of my identity?


In the interest of security, preventing fraud and identity theft, at the time of check-in, onsite or online, guests will be required to confirm their identity using valid photo identification (i.e. driving licence, passport, national ID/citizenship card). All overseas visitors must provide their passport to confirm identity. If you are unable to produce a valid photo ID to the satisfaction of Chimneys Guest House, we may terminate your booking.




Can I check-in online?


Yes. Please complete our fast-track online guest registration and check-in, available via our website: www.chimneys-guesthouse.com




What does your "no show" policy entail?


If you do not show on the day of your booking, you will be charged the full amount of your reservation.
